WHY CASCADE EXISTS

Cascade Scar Institute was created

to fill a gap in care

Most scar treatments sit at one of two extremes — cosmetic services focused on appearance, or surgical pathways focused on structural repair. Between these sits a largely unaddressed space: clinical scar rehabilitation.

Cascade operates in that space. We provide structured, evidence-informed care for scars that continue to impact daily life — physically, functionally, or psychologically.

This is not session-based treatment.

It is a guided process, with clear direction, realistic expectations, and measurable progression.

Scar and stretch mark treatment is not

simply about the skin

It requires an understanding of how tissue heals across layers, how it adapts under load, and how people experience those changes in their daily life — functionally, physically, and emotionally.

Holly brings this understanding to every client she sees:

  • A detailed, anatomy-led approach to scar assessment

  • Experience supporting patients through complex and long-standing recovery journeys

  • A structured, progressively planned approach to treatment

  • Clear, honest communication — so you always understand what is happening and whydeep understanding of tissue behaviour and healing timelines

About Holly Miles

Founder | Integrative Scar Practitioner

Cascade Scar Institute is founded and led by Holly Miles — a registered primary healthcare professional, with over 20 years of clinical 'hands-on-patients' experience.

"I've spent over 20 years in clinical healthcare — in private practice, in education, and in governance. One pattern kept showing up: women who looked after every other part of themselves properly, but had never had their scar or stretch marks treated by anyone with real clinical depth. Usually because that option simply didn't exist.

Often, she was also a mother who'd spent years with very little time or energy left over for herself, and this was simply the next thing on the list, now that there's room for it.

Scar tissue is structurally complex, and it responds to the right stimulus applied with precision, at the right time, in the right sequence. I built Cascade to offer exactly that — a clinically guided, evidence-informed approach delivered within a registered healthcare framework."

Holly's background spans:

  • Private practice ownership and leadership

  • Healthcare education and mentoring

  • Clinical governance and professional standards

  • Trauma-aware, patient-centred approach to all clinical care

When you come to Cascade, you are receiving a patient-led, clinically delivered healthcare service, grounded in anatomy, tissue physiology and structured assessment.
